Yoga for beginners backbends: 1. Bhujangasana, the Cobra Pose

Warm up ( 6 rounds of sun salutation or similar)
Here’s how to do it:
Lie flat on the stomach with the legs straight,
Place the palms of the hands flat on the floor, below and slightly to the side of the shoulders.
Relax the whole body, pay attention to the lower back
Inhale, slowly raise the head, neck and shoulders.
In the final position, the pubic bone remains in contact with the floor.
Beginners: the arms may not be straight
More advanced: try to straighten the arms
Hold the final position for 5 breaths
Exhale then return to the starting position.
